Tonight I was watchig the Tennis and decided to settle in to watch the end of the match betwen Murray and Gasquet. When I switched on Gasquet was winning two sets to nil and it was going with serve towards the end of the third set. Murray looked dead and burried. Gasquet even served for the match.

The third set went to a tie break and suddenly Murray looked like he had nothing to loose. He opened up and started to play freely. He found his groove and won the tie-break. Game on.

Murray then won the fourth set and broke Gasquet’s serve twice in the process. He was playing really well and Gasquet was starting to show the strain of where he was and made some unforced errors. We were into a fifth set and Murray was in the zone, punching the air after every point.

It looked at one point like the officials would call the game off for the night due to lack of light but thankfully they relented to the crowd and the match continued.

The number of duces and advantages was amazing but Murray managed to come though 6-4 in the fifth, holding his nerve to serve it out.

His reward is a game versus the on form world number two, Nadal, on Wednesday!!! He has yet to beat Nadal in three atempts but fair play to him for getting to the quater finals, a great achievement.
