The American Family Association have called on its millions of members to boycott McDonalds restaurants, AFA chairman Donald E. Wildmon said that ” It is about McDonald’s, as a corporation, choosing to put the full weight of their organization behind promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage”. This is apparently in response to a $20,000 donation made by the corporation to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in exchange for membership in the NGLCC and a seat on the group’s board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues, including the promotion of same-sex marriage. LINK

I don’t know about anyone else but this seems very over the top to me. It is true, however, that these boycotts effect people and have in the past had an effect on the company, let’s hope this one doesn’t. I’m no fan of McDonalds but this seems like an over reaction.
