The venue formerly known as The Point is to play host to a gig by Coldplay in December of this year. Tickets go on sale on Friday July 25th and are to cost in the region of €60.

I have to say I’m torn as to whether or not I’d like to go. I like Coldplay, I have their first two albums and really like about half the stuff on there, but then there’s the other half! They are one of those bands that can have a really great song but they don’t have an album I can listen to all the way through without having to hit the “next” button on my iPOD. I have yet to get their newest studio album but I think I just might have to get it. There are so few acts now that’d I’d even contemplate buying that I think I might just take a chance on this one.

My brother-in-law saw them years ago and thought they were amazing live but then that was a smaller venue. I’m getting to old for standing.

So to go or not to go – that is the question. It’s on around Christmas time so getting someone to come with me may be tough!!! Will have to ponder it some more I think…
