Last night I took my seat in the Olympia in Dublin to see KD Lang. We were in the upper circle so thought we wouldn’t see a thing but it was grand. The last time I saw KD was 13 years go in the Point, I thought she was great but this time round I wasn’t sure what to expect as I don’t have her latest album. My reservations were unfounded however, she was amazing.

What a voice. She did loads of new stuff but a good few older ones too. She was great at chatting with the crowd and included everyone, even those of us in the Gods!!! Her band were great too, really talented musicians all. I have to say I was surprised at how good it was and how much I enjoyed it. Fair play to her.

Honerary mention to the guy who opened the show, Dustin O’Hanrahan I think he said his name was. He played the piano and was just incredible
