Mercury Shortlist

Earlier today the shortlist for the coveted Mercury Awards were unveiled. Amoung the acts up for the Mercury Prize are Elbow and Radiohead, the full list can be seen here. The winner will be announced on September 9th.
The Mercury Award was set up in 1992 in order to highlight the most talented musicians from the UK and Ireland. Previous winners include PJ Harvey, Klaxons and The Arctic Monkeys.
