“I kissed a girl, and I liked it. …Then I went to hell”

Irony upon irony is heaped upon a particular Rev. David Allison and his worldview.
The precious pastor recently added the following to a sign belonging to his church: “I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It Then I Went To Hell”. Really, Reverend, what exactly are you trying to say? What’s your message? I’m not entirely sure, but it could be something to do with a certain song by Katy Perry. Don’t quote me on that.
Apparently, the sign was taken down within 24 hours, however, in part due to the fact that many of the older members of his congregation just didn’t get it.
The funny thing is that the bauld Perry is no less than the daughter of – not one, but two – evangelist preachers.
Oh, and I do like the name of the town where this all took place: Blacklick.
(Fnarr.)
Oh, and Feminist Avengers have a wee snippet of what followed after the sign was taken down.

Older members of the congregation tend not to get much of anything.
