Red Hurley in collaboration with Maya Angelou

In bizarre-o pairing of the year, the Sunday Tribune today reports that the wonderful Maya Angelou is to team up with Irish crooner, Red Hurley, on an upcoming project.

The paper reports that Angelou – whose opus includes her series of autobiographies, beginning with the powerful I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings – is to “provide spoken-word introductions to inspirational songs sung by Hurley”.

I’m not at all familiar with Red Hurley’s repertoire, but I am intrigued..
