This morning I got up, got dressed and opened my curtains.  I couldn’t believe it, snow everywhere!!!  I felt like I was 10 years old again.  All I wanted to do was go out and run around in the snow.  Sadly for me, however, I had to get sorted and go to work.

There was a kid with a guy I assume was his Dad with him on my bus, he was upset that there wasn’t enough snow to make a snowman – I couldn’t agree more.  Still though, it made me smile to look out at the footprints and the kids playing.

Then I got to thinking (which I do sometimes), last week was freezing and I was complaining about it and giving out and now here I was, technically in Spring, and it was colder but I was really happy.  Snow does that doesn’t it.  It makes most of us smile even though we’re shaking with the cold.  Even Monday morning on the bus couldn’t dampen my spirits.

I met my friend for lunch and she was showing me pictures she had taken on her walk to work this morning, they were beautiful images of the canal banks blanketed in snow and we were both in great moods regardless of the cold.

Of course snow in Spring means something funny is going on with the climate but I’m still delighted to be able to look out at it.  It’s strange how people’s moods are changed by gorgeous surroundings.  I hope wherever you are you can enjoy the snow today.
