Cafe Crepe
Working in town has many advantages and now that my best bud works in Trinity one of those has become our new habit of meeting for lunch once a week for a gossip and a catch up. We have now settled on “our usual” cafe which is called Cafe Crepe. It’s on South Leinster Street (that’s a continuation of Nassau Street) and although it’s small it’s perfect.
It’s one of those places where the staff remembers you and the atmosphere is a genuinely warm welcome. The menu is quite large and consists of crepes, sandwiches, baps, salads etc, which you can order as you wish and pastries are freshly baked on the premises. My favourite is a brown bap with egg mayo, turkey and swiss cheese – toasted. My mouth is watering as I type this as it’s made to perfection, they don’t skimp on anything and although the presentation is basic the taste is simply delicious. I can honestly say that in all the times we’ve gone there we’ve never come out disappointed.
The staff couldn’t be more helpful and you’re never left waiting long to be served which is perfect for lunch on a working day. The prices are very reasonable too, lunch is usually about €7 which includes tea or coffee.
I heartily recomment Cafe Crepe, it’s one of those little gems that I’m sure has a very loyal following.
