Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger was born in Hawaii back in 1978. By her own admission she had a “conservative Catholic” upbringing in Kentucky, but was a talented wee thing and was in competitions of one sort or another all the time.

In 2001, she won the most important talent show of her life, the American version of Popstars, and became a member of the band Eden’s Crush. Unfortunately, our Nic wasn’t a happy bunny. “It was hell. The band was meant to be fun and frivolous but the reality was that it was miserable.”

Now around the same time, as fate would have it, Robin Antin was looking to expand her burlesque troupe, The Pussycat Dolls, into a music group. In 2003, Nicole joined and MTV hasn’t been the same since.

Who knew walking could be so sexy? That the simple dining room chair could become an object of lust, or that is would be possible for women to be so stretchy?

As the lead of the group, not only does Nicole have to be as limber as Barbie but she has to belt out those tunes too. While looking like that.
