Somehow – presumably it was a clerical error – we were lucky enough to win the award for Best Blogger at the GALAs on Friday night.

This was a total surprise to the three of us who were able to attend – Gooner, Annie Aura, and myself. Up against such vertibal institutions as Panti’s Blog-Job and Dermod Moor, we were convinced that we’d be applauding one of those nominees as they accepted the prize as winner.

So, we’d just like to say a huge big Thank you to everyone who reads and comments on this blog, and to everyone who voted for Gaelick for the award. Here we were, thinking that it was only our mates or family members dropping by to have a read.. We really were so flattered and delighted to have even been nominated in the first place, let alone to find on the night that we had won.

The blog wouldn’t have been possible without Michelle Farrell – whose idea Gaelick was, and who is responsible for all of the coding, customising and techy workings that none of us writers know anything about – and Céline Cahill – whose creative talent brings us Gaelick’s artworks and Julia’s fabulous close-ups!
