Our work parties are always formal, which counts me out until I can afford a nicely tailored tux. That, and partners aren’t invited, which means we end up witnessing a lot of cheating… and I’d rather not know.
I used to go when it wasn’t a formal dress code, and I used to sneak the wife in too.

Christmas has been cancelled at our workplace. Thanks for reminding me!

Aw, poor Click! To be honest, I’ve been very lucky with my workplaces. I’m not a huge fan of christmas parties, the whole idea of forced entertainment is a tad annoying but I do like our team night out. Everyone knows everyone else and its really good fun. In my previous workplace I did go to the main xmas party cause the company was so small and partners were allowed so I brought mine. Most of my workmates had already met the partner at various outings during the year so there was no akward this is my wife scenario.
I always enjoy the Christmas drinks as oppsed ot the Christmas party. The Party is almost Roman it’s so debauched and I just can’t keep up with the “ties off and tied around the head” type parties.
The drinkies though are much more fun; chilled out and good craic
Lord I jusr reread that and I sound like my Dad! :O
