She did so much for the gay community by just being herself. Imagine the bravery it took to be out to the world and the press as a teenager. Phenomenal. I suppose the road was paved by Billie-Jean and Martinam, but it took some ovaries to walk it. Oh and she was a fab tennis player too :) I'm with you though Bear, who do we cheer for now? She's had wonderful acheivements (and some heartbreaking disappointments!) in a tough sport... I wish her well in whatever she does next!
