I am delighted to see that The Portuguese are moving to approve Same sex marriage. Yes there are fair objections, but since this is a very Catholic country,El Papa visits the Portuguese shrine of Fatima this year. Snr Socrates is forward looking and has pushed this forward in the face of fierce opposition, and calls by Catholic Bishops for a referendum,which would have been lost.In the light of this I think they are at least moving in the right direction.
