822_castingcouchWhether you want a nice lunch, a business meeting over drinks, a quiet first date or even a night out on the town, the Front Lounge may be exactly what you are looking for.

Affectionately known as “the Flounge” by Dublin’s gay community, The Front Lounge remains a popular night spot due to its chilled atmosphere, great music, comfortable seating and very friendly staff.

The Flounge opens at noon Monday-Friday, and at 3pm Saturdays and Sundays. Its closing hours are 11.30pm Monday-Thursday, 2am Fridays and Saturdays and 1am Sundays.

Food is served weekdays from 12pm-4pm. The food is simple, but good, and perfect for a small lunch. There are soup, sandwiches and a selection of other hot food available. For more information about what’s on the menu, please see here:

The Front Lounge is a popular spot most weekday evenings for a few after-work drinks, and tends to be jammers on Fridays and Saturdays. Any night that Kiss or CaKe is on, the bar is absolutely teeming with lesbians, so it is definitely the place to go for pre-drinks on girl nights! However, a word of advice: if you want to get a seat at weekends, go as early as possible or you’ll be standing for the night. Also, expect a queue for the ladies.

Tuesday evenings play host to April Showers’ Casting Couch karaoke night, which is always a good laugh, and there are DJs playing in the bar at weekends with brilliant chart tunes, so there really is something for everyone in the Flounge.

Located at 33 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, a stone’s throw from Pantibar, as well as The George and The Dragon, the Front Lounge is a perfect place to start or finish your night out.
