BeLonG To have a new website!
Feb 7th, 2010 | By click here | Category: NoticeboardHooray! The lovely people at BeLonG To have a brand spanking newly re-vamped website at www.belongto.org
For those who are unfamiliar, BeLonG To is Ireland’s national youth service for LGBT young people. BeLonG To grew out of the previously existing OutYouth group in Dublin’s Outhouse. (OutYouth itself was founded in the 1980s by the parents of LGBT children, Parents Support, now known as LOOK.)
The new website is very shiny, and a mine of information. Not only are there details of the groups which meet nationwide (in Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford), but there is also plenty of information on the support services and resources that BeLonG To provides, including the hugely important online support.
The new layout of the front page means that all of this information is presented clearly and can be accessed with a single click.
Plus, there is the genius “Emergency Exit” button located at the top-right and bottom-right of each page. So, if you’re having a browse, but you’re not quite out to friends or family yet, you can quickly click on the Emergency Exit button, which will instantly take you to Google, the most innocuous page on the internets!
And if all that wasn’t enough, don’t forget also that you can keep up-to-date with BeLonG To on Facebook and now on Twitter.
Go, Team!
If you’re LGBT and aged 14-23, and want to talk to a Youth Worker please call: 01-6706223 Mon-Thurs, 10am-6pm; or email: info [at] belongto [dot] org
