As the title of this article suggests, this is spoilerville complete with the spoiling of spoilers for Glee. If you don’t want to know leave now. But if you do…..

Everyone who has ever sung a song in the shower wants to be a part of the hit show, but creator Ryan Murphy is a canny man and his guest stars for the second half of the first season are the best of Broadway. We’ve already had Kristin Chenoweth stealing the show as April Rhodes and now her Wicked co-star Idina Menzel (left) has signed on.

When it came out that she would guest star for the up coming eight episodes, everyone thought she’d be playing Rachel’s mother. Why? They are the spitting image of one another. It turns out though, that Menzel will play Mr Shu’s arch nemesis, the musical director of super glee group, Vocal Adrenaline. Her first scene was a snoging session with Matthew Morrisson’s cutie Mr Schuester. Not sure what that means for the equally cute doe-eyed Miss Pillsbury, or indeed Mrs Shu, but we’ll have to wait and see.

It seems there will be a lot of interaction with the Vocal Adrenaline group as Jonathan Groff is joining them and is coming on to “serve as a potential love interest for (Lea) Michele’s Rachel”. But then there is also talk that she might hook back up with Puck as the makers of the show were surprised at how much viewers responded to it. Watch your back Finn!

Jonathan Groff is a Tony Award-nominated Broadway performer who played Lea Michle’s love in the huge hit Spring Awakening (that’s them both, right). So, it looks like both Mr Shu and Rachel will be sleeping with the enemy.

Then there is the one I am looking forward to the most. Molly Shannon (below) has been signed up to be the foil for Sue Sylvester, as Brenda Castle  (the) “new astronomy teacher and badminton coach at McKinley High School who is both an alcoholic and a pill-popper”. Molly Shannon is as used to playing nutter and as used to chewing the scenery as Jane Lynch is, so this looks like a match made in telly heaven. She make her name on Saturday Night Live but is probably most famous in these parts for playing Grace’s crazy neighbour in Will & Grace.

As if this wasn’t enough to make you jump around with glee, Kurt is getting a fella. Seriously! Out and out fabulous Kurt is going to get some. According to ausiellofiles.ew.com:

We’re going to make them a power couple. We’re not going to do the whole hiding in the shadows thing. We’re going to make them popular, and out and proud and glamorous. Like prom king and king. We’re doing the opposite of what’s been done.

That  not enough for you? Well, they have also cast someone who is going to do an All About Eve on Rachel Berry. For those of you who don’t know what the fell I’m on about (go watch it!), she’ll befriend someone who tries to undermine her star status. Update - this will happen in Season 2 (thanks again J!)

Then there is the episode that’ll be directed by the one and only Joss Whedon and the one with Olivia Newton-John singing Let’s Get Physical with Sue Sylvester. So. Much. Goodness.
