What do you get when you mix ‘hot’ lesbian sex (is there any other kind?), a cast to die for and a playwright for a director? In the case of Boogie Woogie, it seems you get a bit up yourself.

Now I haven’t seen the film so I am open to correction, but judging from the trailer, this looks a bit arty-farty:

What’s with the 80′s lesbian, “my girlfriend’s a musician” soundtrack? All it needs is some poetry being read over it and we’d be in Claire of the Moon land.

However, let’s not detract from the Heather Graham goodness. Heather plays Beth who is seduced by Elaine played by Jaime Winstone. Both work on the London art world as do all of the other characters in his ensemble piece. the other actors include Gillian Anderson (plus sexy Brit accent), Alan Cumming (love him!), Joanna Lumley and Amanda Seyfried.

With all of those excellent actors, this has to be good. Right? not so sure. It looks to me like they took the gig so they could all snog gorgeous people and get paid.

As for Heather, this is the third time I can think of where she smacked her gob on a beautiful woman; Boogie Nights, Gray Matters (above right) and now Boogie Woogie. Tough life, eh?
