Looks like Hunky Dories are in trouble..
“We have no association with the advertising campaign as the product is not an official partner or sponsor of the IRFU or Irish Rugby.”

I haven’t seen them yet. Are they poster ads or TV ads?
I think they’re gross. I think I’ve seen one on a billboard (as well as online).
Similarly sleazy to a previous ad campaign the brand has run. They don’t give a shit, including if you complain. It’s all publicity to them (including this, yes, I know!).
No issue with it. That said, there is an awful lot more “background” scantily clad ladies everywhere, people only seem to get upset when they are in the foreground. For example music videos, tv, etc. Lots of semi clad, hot women everywhere. And men too actually. We only really seem to get upset when they are in the foreground.
This is very similar to the recent billboard campaign that was run by http://www.ulstertrader.com. They displayed A photo of a stunner with the strap line “Nice Headlights – what do you look for in a car” Needless to say these adverts were also removed under duress!
I’m (somewhat) in agreement with Laura. Yeah, it’s sexist. But it’s quite funny. Feels less pernicious than more subtle (and humourless) forms of visual sexism prevalent in popular visual culture.
