Personally I don’t wear make-up, never have. However, I have nothing against it. What’s the difference between make-up and nice clothes or a hair style? I can’t see why anyone would think there is anything wrong with it?
I suppose some people would think that it’s conforming to a gender stereotype; that girls are pretty and boys smell.
Personally I couldn’t give a hoot what you stick on your face
I have always been fascinated by make-up. I have never worn any but that’s out of complete ignorance. I would have no idea what to do with what and what to put where. And as for shades and skin types….lord it’s a different world.
I used to rarely leave the house without wearing make-up. Now, I rarely leave the house with it on.
I do wear make-up now and again – most recently, for a birthday bash; Hallowe’en; photo shoot. So, there has to be a special occasion. But sometimes, it’s fun to glam up and go all out.
Otherwise, lip balm is about as far as it goes!
On a day-to-day basis, usually not. If I’ve an interview or important meeting, absolutely, yes – obviously in the professional world I don’t want to look as if I didn’t bother.
For going out, it depends. If I am going for a quiet pint with a friend or two or dressed for the beach, no, but if its a full night out under artificial lighting, well yeah. My skin isn’t what it used to be and so makeup does cover a lot of blemishes. Plus artificial lighting washes me out so a little colour goes a long way.
How bout the “I don’t like make up” option?! I don’t like wearing make up and think it looks awful !
