For all you Tegan and Sara fans, the Irish Times caught up with them
Tegan is particularly aware of the sisters’ importance to their young gay fans. Both of the twins are gay, and although Tegan is “fine with people not coming out and saying who they like to sleep with – “it’s really no one else’s business”, she believes that “the more people who come out and identify in the public eye as queer makes a difference. The more normal it seems to people, the better it’ll be for all of us. I think it’s really important.”
The wonderful but sometimes a tad eccentric lady Gaga released her new song Alejandro this week. The full length vid hit Youtube on Tuesday.
Coming in at a lengthy 9 minutes, the video, directed by Steven Klein, who collaborated with Madonna on the X-STaTIC PRO=CeSS video installation, offers a glimpse into the darker side of the always outrageous pop star. You have an enormous following among Australia’s lesbian community.
When I started, I had a manager who was a lesbian. And she kept saying to me, “You wait, the girls are going to love you.” And I never thought about it from that perspective.
