[...] in Dublin, are ye all set for Pride? A full list of events courtesy of Tabula Rasa can be found here. The influx of lovely lesbians has begun already, was in the Front Lounge last night and there were [...]
Hey guys, this’ll be my first pride and a couple of the girls and I’ll be heading up for the parade. Any recommendations for bars to head to afterwards, someplace not to crowded but still with a bit of buzz. Thanks!:-)
Hi Banana2! If you don’t want a crowd avoid PantiBar and The Front Lounge; they will be beyond jammers.
Anywhere near the Civic Offices will be buzzing really.
A good spot is Thomas Reades on Parliament St, if it’s still open that is. It gets a lot of the over-flow so it’ll be buzzing but you’ll get a seat.
Back in the day, we used to avoid the Turks Head as its original owners were bigots, but they’ve changed ownership so that could be a good one too.
If you want to sit and eat, another good one is TP Smyths at Jervis Street. Muchos gay friendly staff and loads of seating.
Late in the night it’ll be Isoldes and cheap beer, but ugly drunken scenes
Thank you!!!
@ HAL – Isoldes? That’s soooo ’90s. Don’t you mean the Czech Inn?
; )
@ Banana2 – Yay for first Prides! If you don’t mind the crowd – it can be well worth it, esp if you get there early after the Parade/Show – do sample the atmosphere in Front Lounge and/or PantiBar. (Panti announced today that they’re setting up the bar on Saturday for an outdoor barbecue and street party!)
Also might be important to be aware that the bars HAL mentioned are straight bars and may therefore be showing the World Cup matches (it’s knock-out stages, so may be full of football-mad punters!).
Check out the Pride listings (their site – our site) for what’s on elsewhere – and don’t forget that The George and The Dragon will probably be good craic, too!
Awesome, thanks click here, I’ll bear that in mind
One of the girls lives up in Dublin and was recommending the PantiBar too, looks like a winner!
Thanks for all your help guys, should great fun!:D
No worries at all – I hope our tips help! Have a fantastic Pride – oh, and Do Not Forget To Bring Sun Cream.
: )
@ HAL – Isoldes? That’s soooo ’90s. Don’t you mean the Czech Inn?
It was Isoldes the last time I was out on the scene
A BBQ on Capel Street?! Is there any thing Panti can’t do?
