Ah, the lovely, lovely Lucy Kennedy. Isn’t she only lovely? (Yes. She is.)

She may be best known for gracing our tellies and enduring the potty-mouthed Podge and Rodge on The Podge and Rodge Show as co-host. Apart from her stint there, Kennedy has presented The Ex-Files, Livin’ with Lucy, her own chat show The Lucy Kennedy Show and Charity Lords of the Ring, among others. Filming of the third series of Livin’ with Lucy starts this month, apparently. Pick me! Pick me!!

Before working in the meedja, Kennedy worked as cabin crew for a time. She has worked in TV for around eight years or so. She began by working as a researcher for The Weakest Link presented by Eamon Dunphy. (Yikes.)

She later was production assistant on TG4′s An Tuath Nua followed by working as production co-coordinator in Double z where she spent her days making “poo and puke” for A Scare At Bedtime with Podge And Rodge.

After this, Kennedy briefly worked in sales for Spin FM. Can you imagine? That face on radio?? Feck that. Thankfully, she returned to telly when she got the job as presenter for Adare Production’s Ex-Files on RTÉ. In 2006, she began work with Podge and Rodge again, this time co-hosting The Podge and Rodge Show until the fourth series when she’d had all she could bear of Ballydung.

Lucy has also worked on a number of programmes in the No Frontiers series where she jetted off to New Zealand, Orlando and Morocco. (Can we arrange it so that Lucy Kennedy and Kathryn Thomas jet off somewhere sunny together? Anyone? I’m sure Lucy’s hubby wouldn’t mind.)

Most recently, Kennedy has been the face of a certain gas company’s ad campaign to promote their electricity provision. She’s also won oodles of awards, including awards for being feckin’ gorgeous.

Mm, Lucy Kennedy… *sigh* If only she’d make “the big switch”…
