Lip Service: Episode Three

Are we half-way through the show now? Say it ain’t so!

What did we learn on Lip Service last night? Tess is still being fecked around by the feckless rogue, Lou; CaSa are having wonderful rumpy-pumpy desk duty; Frankie is still quite mopy, but marginally more likeable (see below).

  • Spontaneous Applause Award of the evening went to Sam’s character (Heather Peace) who told Cat (Laura Fraser) to stop being a self-absorbed whinge-bag.
  • Collective Gasp Award of the evening went to the fabulous plot twist involving Frankie (Ruta Gedmintas), so now I don’t dislike her character so much!

And before the show was aired, we learned the following: Actor, Heather Peace, and the show’s writer, Harriet Braun, were interviewed on London’s Resonance 104.4FM yesterday evening. We’ll keep you posted if we hear word that there’s a podcast.  In the meantime, you can listen to Peace’s interview with Joel Kaftetz title=”Heather Peace from BBC Lesbian Drama Lip Service on The Joel Kafetz Show – YouTube” target=”_blank” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview (‘/outbound/www.youtube.com’);”>here.

Plus – BBC3 had a “exciting announcement”! Click here for info: the Beeb is giving you the chance to ask Laura Fraser any question y’like about being in Lip Service. Get your question in by 10am on Thursday 28th October and they’ll pick a selection of questions to ask Laura. Questions can be submitted via the Lip Service blog, twitter, facebook, carrier pigeon and smoke signals. …Perhaps not those last two.

Of course, what many people thought was the “exciting announcement” was whether there is news of a second series of the programme. Here’s what BBC3 had to say in tweet format:

Ah sorry to raise your hopes… We’ll have to wait til this series of #LipService ends before hearing word about a second one.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to peel my eyes and glue them to my telly.

Have to say Lou is breaking Tess and my heart with her callous treatment of Tess, I know it must be difficult fending people off with that sexy accent but c’mon ta feck!

and Jay needs a good boot up the you know where.
