We had so many entries for this prize (eh? eh? *nudge-nudge*), so thank you to everyone who emailed us to put their name into the hat!

Secrets Ireland started almost by accident.

You’re 27, the recession hits and you lose your job. What do you do? Sit around in your PJs all day, eating cereal from the box and watching Ellen in the afternoons? After all there are no jobs out there. Not if you’re Grace O’Sullivan you don’t. If you’re Grace, you get up of your bum cheeks and think, “What shall I do? I know! I’ll sell sex toys!”. Ok, it didn’t actually happen that way, as she told us.

I lost my job in December and with the skill that I have in web, marketing, publishig and design I decided to get selling online. To be perfectly honest, it was a big accident. I was trying to set up a horse riding store, selling all kinds of equestrian goods.

While I was searching for suppliers I, somehow, came across an adult toys wholesale company. I called them and their terms seemed to be appropriate for how I wanted to run a business. After a small pang of guilt I decided that I would give it a go and came up with Secrets Ireland.

From riding to roiding, it’s not that big a jump after all.
