As part of the work LGBT Noise does in seeking equal rights for all LGBT people, they will be launching a new campaign called SolidariTy. The SolidariTy campaign is a joint initiative from LGBT Noise and the Transgender Equality Network of Ireland (TENI) and will seek to educate LGB people about trans* rights and ask LGB people to be allies and support the rights of trans* people.

A lot of you will have heard me rant in the past about the lack of LGB activism on T issues, which is why I am so delighted to see this project being undertaken, and I would encourage as many of you as possible who are reading this to go along and show your support.

As part of this campaign, Noise will be shooting a short video on Saturday the 10th of March in Outhouse from 12pm until 4pm.

Noise are very excited to partner with TENI on this campaign. We are of the firm belief that the LGBT community must work together to ensure that no one is discriminated against on the basis of their sexual or gender identity. With SolidariTy we will seek to inform people about trans* people’s rights and in particular we ask cis-gender (people who don’t identify under the trans* umbrella) LGB people to support the T in LGBT!

If you support equality rights for all LGBT people you should try to go along and show your support. Noise are especially asking Trans* people to come and have their voices heard in the video.
