So many of my favourite shows are on their summer break that I find myself having to try to enjoy the sunshine! Grey’s Anatomy is over, Lost Girl, Glee and even Criminal Minds. What’s a girl to do?  Well thankfully there are a few coming back soon, the likes of True Blood and even more excitingly, Pretty Little Liars.

Now thankfully 5th June is almost upon us and that can only mean one thing: it is just about time to revisit Rosewood and find out what’s been going on with our Pretty Little Liars.

Recaps of seasons 1 and 2 are available right here on Gaelick, so don’t say I ruined it on you. Last season ended with Mona being unmasked as “A” but we all think she’s just the tip of the iceberg don’t we?  Who is pulling the strings here and lets cut to the chase, Emily is the character we are interested in, what’s going to happen to her now Maya is dead?

Some reports say that Emily will be bisexual next season but that just seems like “paper talk”. I think the writers will allow her some time to heal and not just throw in another love interest. After all, fans went mental when Maya was the latest character to be killed off, shippers even went as far as to send the show’s creator, I. Marlene King, boxes and boxes of pens with “We want Maya alive & written back into the show” inscribed on the side. 

Many fans are looking towards Paige as a possible love interest, personally I felt more chemistry between Paige and Emily than with Maya but I know I am in the minority there and I can really only see Paige being there as a friend for Emily.

Season 3 starts 6 months after the season 2 finale so the characters have had some time to let everything sink in. The official trailer shows that the tension will still be high none the less.

We also have a couple of small previews to let us see glimpses of what may happen, the first of which shows Emily drowning her sorrows after being away from Rosewood for a time  (link here).

The next one is about Aria looking like she is about to pee herself – at least she is in the loo I guess.  Damn those writers and their amazing ability to make me want to pee myself!

Another one shows Mona being visited by Hanna, her best bud.  Mona told police that she became “A”, or joined “A” as we suspect, because the other girls took Hanna from her, so this visit will make an interesting view.  Hanna is just too sweet to stay mad for long I think.

Recently the gorgeous Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily, gave an interview in which she answered some great questions about the upcoming season.  She seems to be holding her cards pretty close to her chest (lucky cards) but it’s well worth a listen.
