Dublin Pride programme launch tonight!
First the Pride banners appeared along the Liffey, and now the festival’s programme launch has been announced. It’s official: Dublin Pride season is upon us!
The Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival Official Programme Launch takes place tonight in the Wood Quay Venue in Dublin City Council Civic Offices at 6:30pm.
The Dublin Pride theme this year is “Show Your True Colours” and the organisers have created a programme that reflects this and is packed full of new and exciting events.
Most notably, the Pride Parade route has changed, and the Post-Parade events will take place this year in Merrion Square.
Guest speakers at tonight’s event will be the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Chairperson Jo McNamara, Alternative Miss Ireland (AMI) Winner Minnie Mélange and the Grand Marshall of the Pride Parade, Panti!
The evening will also feature the work of Yalda Pashai, who has created a multi-media project on Queer Muslims called Illumination.
Her project is a series of images with interviews of real volunteers who share their experiences of coming-out, homophobia, reconciliation of religion and sexuality, personal opinions and exposure.
