When Women Were Warriors

Just Charley getting her read on

A series of novels that follows the lives of the women of yesteryear who also happen to be dominant, strong and independent warriors? Hold on a second, I need to grab my Kindle!

Kicking ass

In 1998, Catherine M. Wilson began writing a book that was different to anything else on the market at the time. The first installment of this unique trilogy is based in the British Isles during the Bronze Age, where we follow the story of Tamras, who is a young female warrior. When she begins her journey, she anticipates arriving with her mentor-to-be so that she may learn the relevant skills and knowledge to allow her to become a valuable member in her warrior community, and here the story begins.

Don't judge a book my its cover. Why are all fantasy books cursed with crap covers?

Janis Ian!

With praise for this incredible series steadily growing, Wilson is hoping to take the next step in recreating these texts in audio book format for more readers, or rather listeners, to enjoy her creations. This heroic story of a young girl’s journey will be immortalised in the form of an audio book, being read aloud by vocals of Janis Jan.

In a bid to raise awareness for this exciting project, a kickstarter page was launched so that Wilson may raise funds for this venture, which, I’m led to believe, has been a great success for her over the past month. So much of a success, in fact, that the project will soon be moving forward with an official production date!

To continue raising awareness for this brilliant collection of books, we are determined to keep spreading the word about the marvelous When Women Were Warriors trilogy, which definitely deserves a bit more attention! Book one of the trilogy is available online for FREE here, so what are you waiting for? Get pulled into to this world of warriors and spread the word!
