A is for lots of lovely ladies beginning with the letter A. Good Gaelick readers, you would not believe the work, the hard slog we endevaour to take to bring you these pics. Hours and hours on Google Images, believe me there are not enough hours in the day.

For no other reasons than they are gorgeous and I can, here are a group of ladies who show that having a wee wan does nothing to diminish your sex appeal. There are so many of these ladies, that this is the first of two posts. You’re welcome.

We live in a celebrity-obsessed world. No news there. We all know it. Every once in a while though, you have to wonder why magazines bother trying desperately to make ‘news’ stories out of the fact that Angie frowned once last Tuesday.

Here we present you with Gaelick’s films of 2010 – and a couple extra. Have you watched ‘em? Have we missed any? What tops your list from this year?

I have to admit to having a slight crush on Angelina. Ok, ok, more than a slight crush. What? I’m a lezzer! So, it was with great…ahem….anticipation that I went to see her new film, Salt. When the wife and I sat down, she looked around and chuckled at all of the sisters who were doing exactly what we were doing. It seems an Angie (she said I could call her that) film is a convention for the unconventional.

The queer community has accomplished so much when it comes to acceptance. But when it comes to the trans, cross dressers, gender queer and just plain butch, there’s so much more to accomplish. Society may well be ready for two pretty girls in white dresses to walk down the aisle, but the wider society is still remarkably hateful when it comes to people whose gender isn’t obvious to the casual observer.

Don’t you just love gossip-mongering headlines like this one? Trawling through the sites for some news this morning, I found that Angelina is on the cover of this month’s Vanity Fair. In her interview, she talks about her kids including the cutie pie Shiloh.

2009 is getting off to a good start for those TV fans who have the movie channels. if you’re one of those plebs without, tough luck unfortunately. Although, there is still the odd programme for you to enjoy, the highlight of which, this week, is the Golden Globes. We like globes do us lesbians (sorry..)

So that was Christmas 2008, full of crap on the telly and in my belly. Don’t expect things ot get much better in the new year. Although there are a few new series starting, including the final season of The L Word in late January, so things aren’t all bad. Here’s what’s out there to entertain you as 2008 makes way for 2009.
