Prop 8 heads to US Supreme Court after Federal Appeals Court ruling

On Tuesday night, a US federal appeals court rejected a motion to reconsider an earlier ruling that struck down Proposition 8, the Californian initiative that reversed marriage equality. The expected appeal means that the case now trundles on to the US Supreme Court.

Morning Gaelickers! I don’t quite know what to make of that orange ball in the sky that’s emitting heat but hey, let’s enjoy it while its there eh? I have just about recovered from the eurovision final, I think I am more disappointed about Albania finising the top 5 then I am about our boys finishing 19th. Seriously, what was with Albania? It was appalling.

Last night, our time, things they were achanging over in the States. First up, a judge in federal court ruled that the infamous Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy in the armed forces, is discrimination and should cease immediately. Ten, a couple of hours later, a federal judge declared that The Defense of Marriage Act was also unconstitutional. And all this when the mid-terms are weeks away. So, Prez, whatcha gonna do?
