Everyone’s favourite women’s night, caKe, is turning 2 on Friday and is celebrating it alongside the Dublin Lesbian Line with “Telephone caKe” . Through its unique blend of indie, electro, pop and alternative music, caKe never disappoints and this particular outing should be no different.

For anyone who has ever wondered, Ballinlough Castle is not, as one may think, in Ballinlough! We found it eventually, and twe were greeted by security men pink hi-vis vests! All that remained was to collect the tickets, park the car and begin our MILK adventure.

MILK Music Festival

The internet buzz has been steadily growing around MILK-Ireland’s first ever LGBT music festival, over the past few weeks, so I thought I’d investigate on behalf of Gaelick. Having met with the organisers earlier in the week and gotten the full details, it sounds like its set to be an epic day. The line up is fabulously camp and fun, and boasts big international acts as well as home-grown LGBT talent.




It’s LGBT History Month at Tallaght Library

February 2010 sees LGBT History Month being celebrated for the first time in Ireland, at Tallaght County Library. There will be talks on LGBT literature and history, a screening of Gus Van Sant’s “Milk”, and an ongoing exhibition curated by Tonie Walsh of the Irish Queer Archive.
