It was in the half hour before the competition started that we all really got acquainted. I’m not really one for making friends with girls that easily. It didn’t matter. The Mses were super cool.

K-Stew is competing in Ms Gay Ireland on Sunday, 23 of November. She gives us a run down of the week, from dealing with biphobic comments in the gay community, to actually talking properly on the radio. She’s only massive and we’re dead proud.

Sometimes coming out leaves you wrapped up warm in your Spice Girls duvet, inhaling the Ben and Jerry’s, and praying for the world to forget about you. If you want to take the more practical option to dealing with this upheaval, here are my steps for survival!

The final of the Ms. Gay Ireland competition was held in Limerick recently, and I was able to ask the winner, Emma Parkes (a bartender in The George) a few questions about her new role. Judging by her answers, we will be seeing great things from her this year!

For the past six months, gorgeous grrrls and luscious ladies from the four corners of our small but perfectly-formed island have been competing to represent their county in the Grand Final of the first ever Ms Gay Ireland contest. It all comes down to tonight in the Forum, Waterford at 8pm.
